ATC Spring

Finally I have made another ATC. I am calling this one “Spring”. It is number  2 of a 4 part series I am making. The tree is made from twisted wire with two colours of green seed beads to represent buds on the branches. The grass is some twine from an old scrapbooking kit, and the small flowers at the trees base are parts of old jewellery. I like to search thrift shops for odds and ends I can use in my crafting. These were off of a pair of old clip on earrings.

ATC- Winter

This was number 1 of 4 “Winter”. These are super fun to create. They measure 2 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches. There is a great group over on FaceBook called ATC-Inspiration, where people show and some trade with others. You should go check it out. Thats all for today, Happy Crafting.

Project Share ATC #4

100_1292

As I continue on this ATC journey I give you Card #4. These little art projects are quite addicting one you start. I made this one using a small mirror from an old eyeshadow quad from Avon. It was my inspiration for this card. I am calling this one Vanity.

The stick pin in the top rt hand corner I made by glueing beads onto a stick pin with glossy accents. The lady in the bottom left is from a modge podge paper pack and she is on foam tape, the dress form is a brad I purchased at a scrapbooking expo. There is a bit of lace behind it to dress it up a bit.  I really enjoyed making this one. I hope you like it.

Artist Trading Card #3

ATC #3

Today I have a project share. This is my third ATC ( artist trading card ) When I found this stamp I fell in love with the sentiment, “ I would gladly live out of a suitcase if it meant I could see the world” I love to travel and there are so many beautiful places in the world to see. I feel that this card encompasses the sentiment nicely, the world map as a background paper and the small airport button. I have had it for a while in this state, it still seemed somewhat undone and one dimensional. I found the bling in the lower rt. corner. It is actually an old earring. I was much happier with its addition so with that and some glossy accents on the stamp, I called it done. What do you think?

Artist trading card #2 Project share

ATC- Winter

Hello everyone, I just wanted to share a picture of my second ATC (artist trading card). I am calling this one winter. It is my plan to do a series of four of these. Each with a tree depicting one of the four seasons. I am really enjoying these little works of art and get so much inspiration from a Face book group titled, ATC inspiration. I am always blown away by the talent out there. If you are interested you should go check it out. Hope you are having a great day, happy crafting!

Artist Trading Card – (ATC)

ATC complete

Hello everyone,

Today I am very excited to share my first ever Artist Trading Card. One day I was watching a You-tuber by the name of Maymay Made It Crafts Amy Helms. The craft she was doing was called and ATC. She was making it for a swap she was doing with another You-tuber at G’s_Creations. I was intrigued, and after some research subbing to G_Creations channel and joining a Facebook group called ATC Inspiration, I was on my way. The Facebook group is a group of talented men and women who love to create these tiny works of art. Go check it out and see what I mean. There was a competition of sorts and entries needed to reach Gareth of G”s_Creations by March 8th. No problem right? Except he lives in the UK. I really wanted to try my hand at this, so I through my hat into the ring and started creating. The base of most ACT’s is 2 1/2″ X 3 1/2″.

ATC base

Thanks to my very handy hubby, I was given 4 Douglas Fir wooden cards to start. This was my base.

ATC stain:paper

After staining the card and music paper with Tim Holtz “Antique Photo” I adhered it together using Modge Podge.

ATC embelishment

This small charm was originally a silver colour. I had purchased a kit in the discount section of my local Michaels store that was supposed to “rust” objects. It is a 2 part system, the first step is to paint the item with an iron rich solution. After a 12 hour drying time, you paint on the second solution. From there it is supposed to rust. Sadly it did not work like I thought it would. Being that time was of the essence I forged ahead. The brown scroll and small bird in the bottom right.are rub on transfers from my stash. Using liquitex and a stencil, I did the two swirls off the brown scroll and the pattern under the bird in the bottom right. When they were dry I coloured them with green Wink of Stella. Some craft wire and beads from the dollar store and I was done. This was avery fun project and I hope to do more soon. Hope you liked it. Happy Crafting.
